Nineteenth Century Lighting, surveys the candle powered lighting devices used in Northern Europe, the British Isles, as well as those made in America. The examples illustrated are those used in primarily domestic situations, however some are also from the public sector.
Over 394 photographs are each acompanied by a detailed, physical and historical description, painstakingly researched by Mr. Bacot.
